Who We Help

Kaleidoscope is open to all adults seeking mental health support, with a special focus on serving members of the LGBTQIA+ and Gender-Expansive communities. This in-person program may be a good fit for adults who:

• Are experiencing mood, anxiety, trauma-related, or other mental health challenges
• Identify as LGBTQIA+ or Gender-Expansive, including those who are nonbinary, gender nonconforming, or genderqueer
• Are seeking a safe, inclusive space where identity is respected and authentic self-expression is encouraged
• May have co-occurring needs, including mental health concerns alongside substance misuse

Our Approach to LGBTQ+ Therapy

Our PHP program runs on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. During this time, participants follow a structured routine and receive care from affirming and culturally competent professionals. We take a personalized approach to your care so we can best serve you, combining a range of modalities, including CBT, DBT, and psychoeducation.

No matter if you come to us for a short-term stay at our Brookline location, you will have the option to participate in:

• Individual therapy: Whether you are dealing exclusively with mental illness or you have a dual diagnosis of a substance use disorder, our experienced therapists will help you address it.
• Family therapy: If you and your loved ones are willing, we also offer family therapy to assist in the healing process.
• Support groups: During your time here, you will have the chance to connect with other people in similar situations and relate to them through shared experiences and group therapy.
