Bournewood’s Inpatient Approach

At Bournewood, we understand that each person’s journey is unique. That’s why we provide patient-centered care tailored to each individual’s specific needs. Our multidisciplinary team of highly trained professionals collaborates to develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based treatments and holistic approaches.

What sets Bournewood apart is our commitment to trauma-informed care. We recognize that many of our adult clients have experienced trauma, and we create an emotionally and physically safe environment that promotes healing and recovery. Our staff is well-trained in de-escalation techniques and sensory interventions to help individuals manage their emotions and behaviors.

From admission, we work with patients to develop a Personal Safety Plan that identifies triggers, warning signs, and coping strategies. This proactive approach allows us to provide early interventions and support tailored to each individual’s needs.
