Our adolescent PHP in Massachusetts involves a combination of:
This therapy helps adolescents identify and change unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors. Through structured sessions, they learn practical skills to regulate emotions and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
DBT combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices to help adolescents manage intense emotions and improve interpersonal relationships.
Rather than focusing on problems, SFBT centers on identifying and building solutions. This approach encourages adolescents to envision their desired future and take actionable steps toward achieving their goals.
MI is a person-centered counseling style that helps adolescents explore and resolve their resistance to change. This therapy empowers teens to increase their internal motivation and commitment to positive behavioral changes.
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is an intensive, structured treatment program designed to help teens between the ages of 12 and 18 with mental health challenges.
The program is nonresidential, meaning teens receive treatment for a few hours during the day and are able to go home each evening. This approach strikes the perfect balance between the 24/7 intensity of inpatient treatment and the autonomy of outpatient care. Teen partial hospitalization programs help reduce the risk of relapse and foster independence in a supportive environment.
Our comprehensive, adolescent-focused program offers a balanced mixture of mental health care and academic support. Each program is led by a multidisciplinary team that works together to help teens heal and achieve their goals while maintaining educational progress.
The length of the program varies depending on the adolescent’s specific needs. It runs from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. A day of adolescent PHP typically involves group therapy, medication management, patient education, and individual meetings. The treatment also includes daily tutoring with a licensed teacher for individuals whose studies are interrupted.
