The Bournewood-Caulfield Center
The Bournewood-Caulfield Center is a Dual Diagnosis Partial Hospital Program for adults. Initially established as a substance use treatment program in 1998, we also welcome patients who live with other types of behavioral health conditions and dual diagnoses.
This program generally serves individuals who have completed an inpatient stay as a way to transition back to their lives in the community and when more than outpatient treatment is needed to achieve real recovery.
Our integrated approach has four components -- recovery, psychotherapy, medicine and mindfulness -- which we call the four pillars of treatment.
The Bournewood-Caulfield Center is led by Larry Peltz, MD, addiction psychiatrist and author of "The Mindful Path to Addiction Recovery: A Practical Guide for Regaining Control Over Your Life."
