Bournewood's Programs and Services
Bournewood Hospital offers a comprehensive continuum of psychiatric care and chemical dependency treatment for patients of all ages, backgrounds and economic statuses. Patients can access inpatient, partial hospital, intensive outpatient and traditional outpatient services on our South Brookline, Massachusetts, campus.
Separate treatment programs are available for adults and adolescents, allowing participants to address their presenting issues and move along the spectrum of recovery in the most appropriate setting. The Bournewood-Caulfield Center in Woburn, Massachusetts, offers additional partial hospital and intensive outpatient services. Bournewood also has a psychiatric physician on our campus 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and provides round-the-clock triage, assessment and admissions.
Bournewood's Inpatient Programs
Bournewood Hospital's inpatient programs are an appropriate choice for people in need of a highly-structured hospital setting where they can focus on addressing their presenting psychiatric and chemical dependency challenges. Separate units are available for patients in need of more intensive treatment, as well as for those in need of help for co-occurring psychiatric and addiction problems. A separate unit is also geared for the unique needs of adolescents. In all of Bournewood's programs, patients benefit from individualized care from our highly trained and compassionate staff, as well as from participating in a variety of group therapy settings, which provide valuable opportunities for therapeutic interactions to occur with others who are faced with similar challenges. Family members are also involved in the treatment process as appropriate.
Bournewood's Ambulatory Services
In addition to our inpatient programs, Bournewood Hospital offers partial hospital, intensive outpatient and traditional outpatient options at our South Brookline and Woburn locations for adults and adolescents. These can serve as stand-alone programs or can be used as a step-down from a hospital stay for patients who need some extra support before fully returning to their former setting. Our partial hospital and outpatient programs provide very structured day settings for patients well enough to live in the community while receiving treatment services. Academic tutoring is also available during the school year for students. In addition, Bournewood offers outpatient services at its offices in Brighton, as well as affiliations with numerous other outpatient providers and sober homes to link patients returning to the community with essential treatment and support systems locally.
Bournewood’s programs are covered by most major insurance providers.
